Daekyo enters the pet care market in earnest with the acquisition of Howlpot, a company specializing in companion animals.

Daekyo announced on November 1, 2024, that it will introduce premium total pet care services by acquiring Howlpot, a company specializing in companion animals, as a new business following Senior Total Care Services.

Founded in 2015, HowlPod provides premium pet care services such as dog kindergarten, day care, beauty, and hotelering at four branches in Han-nam, Seo-cho, Bun-dang, and Wi-rye. It is also training pet behavior experts and operating educational programs for companion animals with top-notch trainers in the industry.

Through this acquisition, Daekyo plans to expand its "Academy" project to train pet care professionals and its "Petsitter" business using academy-completed personnel.

We plan to apply the lifelong education philosophy of the bridge from cradle to grave to pet business to create a culture where pets and pets grow together, a Daekyo official said. "We will take the lead in improving the welfare of pets by improving the nurturing environment of pets and providing customized services for each life cycle."
