This event was organized to commemorate the opening of the newly established lounge, created to more systematically operate joint research on brain development and cognitive function enhancement being pursued by Daekyo and KAIST, and to share the research achievements with customers.

The event was attended by key officials from both organizations, including Kang Hojun, CEO of Daekyo; Lee Gyun-min, Vice President for Academic Affairs at KAIST; and Kim Dae-soo, Dean of the College of Life Science and Technology at KAIST, who celebrated the opening of the lounge.

In particular, a total of 50 people?including finalists of the Daekyo Middle & CSAT Challenge from the Daejeon region and their families?were invited to participate in a variety of programs such as the lounge opening ceremony, a KAIST campus tour, and a future talent special lecture.

Since signing a memorandum of understanding on industry?academia collaborative research with KAIST in 2023, Daekyo has been jointly researching cognitive function enhancement and mental health across the entire life cycle?from infants and young children to seniors?based on brain and cognitive science, with the goal of developing effective educational solutions.

The special lecture held during the event was delivered by Professor Jung Jae-seung of KAIST’s Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences, who is participating in the joint research. Under the theme “Reflecting on Future Education Through Brain Science in the Age of Artificial Intelligence,” Professor Jung explored the role of the human brain and learning amid advances in AI technology and presented perspectives on the future direction of education.

A Daekyo official said, “The Cognitive Enhancement Research Center Lounge is a symbolic space representing the research collaboration accumulated by both institutions, and it is particularly meaningful that we can communicate directly with customers and share research outcomes here. Daekyo will continue to expand its collaboration with KAIST to demonstrate the value of scientific and systematic education.”

Lee Gyun-min, Vice President for Academic Affairs at KAIST, added, “Based on this lounge space, KAIST will strive to share the成果 of brain and cognitive science research with society and contribute to educational practice.”
