Gangwon Deep Sea Water’s “Cheonnyeondongan” Earns Top 3-Star Rating at ITI International Taste Awards for Fourth Consecutive Year

Gangwon Deep Sea Water, a company specializing in deep-sea water jointly established by the Daekyo Group, Goseong County, and Gangwon State, announced on the 8th that its flagship product, “Cheonnyeondongan,” received the highest 3-star rating at the 2026 International Taste Institute (ITI) Awards for the fourth consecutive year, earning the prestigious Superior Taste Award.

With this achievement, Cheonnyeondongan has maintained the highest rating for four consecutive years, from 2023 to 2026, demonstrating its consistent recognition by a world-renowned taste evaluation institution for its excellent taste and competitive product quality.

Based in Brussels, Belgium, the International Taste Institute (ITI) evaluates food and beverage products through blind tastings conducted by chefs, sommeliers, and food and beverage experts from around the world. The Superior Taste Award is presented on a scale of one to three stars based on evaluation scores, with the highest 3-star rating awarded to products scoring 90 points or higher.

Cheonnyeondongan is a premium deep-sea water product sourced from pristine ocean depths of 605 meters off the coast of Goseong, Gangwon Province. The company secures a stable supply of clean raw water through Korea’s only single intake pipeline extending 6 kilometers offshore. The product is characterized by its balanced mineral composition, containing magnesium, calcium, and potassium in a 3:1:1 ratio similar to that found in the body’s fluids, as well as its smooth, refreshing taste.

In particular, the company maintains product safety and consistent quality by implementing a rigorous quality control system throughout the entire process, from water extraction to production and distribution. These strengths are considered key factors behind the product’s continued recognition in international taste evaluations.
