Daekyo announced that it will join Daewon Media as a co-organizer of the Studio Ghibli Exhibition in Jeju, which is scheduled to open on July 11.

Organized and hosted by Daewon Media, the Studio Ghibli Exhibition in Jeju is a large-scale, immersive exhibition that brings the world of Studio Ghibli, the globally renowned Japanese animation studio, to life amid Jeju Island’s rich natural landscapes. The exhibition will take place at the Donghwa Art Center within Jeju Donghwa Village, a site spanning approximately 100,000 square meters.

Visitors can enjoy a variety of interactive experiences that allow them to explore the world of Studio Ghibli in greater depth. Highlights include the Corico Cafe, themed around the studio’s animated film Kiki’s Delivery Service, and Donguri Forest, an official Studio Ghibli merchandise store.

Daekyo decided to pursue this collaboration because it shares a strong affinity with the values of growth, imagination, and family conveyed through Studio Ghibli’s works. As a co-organizer, Daekyo will participate in the exhibition through investment and joint marketing initiatives.

In particular, the exhibition will unveil large-scale sculptures inspired by iconic Studio Ghibli films, including Castle in the Sky and Princess Mononoke, for the first time in Korea. Visitors will be able to explore spaces and scenes inspired by the films firsthand, immersing themselves in the distinctive atmosphere and imaginative worlds that characterize Studio Ghibli.

As it celebrates its 50th anniversary, Daekyo is working to expand customer experiences beyond educational services through cultural and artistic content. The company has recently continued to broaden its portfolio of content that combines education and culture, including family musicals based on Numberblocks and Alphablocks, popular educational animation properties broadcast by the BBC in the United Kingdom.

A Daekyo representative said, “Studio Ghibli’s works have been beloved across generations for many years, conveying the importance of dreams, challenges, and family. As a co-organizer, we will actively support the successful operation of the exhibition. Moving forward, we will continue to identify immersive content that enables customers to experience personal growth and strengthen our competitiveness in the cultural business as an education and culture company.”

Further information about ticket reservations for the Studio Ghibli Exhibition in Jeju is available on the NOL ticketing platform.
