Daekyo Educamp announced the launch of “My Pace Social Skills Class,” an online small-group program designed for children who experience difficulties with peer relationships and social development due to borderline intellectual functioning or other characteristics associated with slower learning.

“My Pace Social Skills Class” is a subscription-based program structured around one social-emotional theme each month. It enables children to repeatedly practice essential interpersonal skills, including speaking, listening, taking turns, waiting patiently, and expressing emotions, all of which are important for building positive relationships with peers.

Classes are conducted online in real time in small groups of three children, with four 40-minute sessions held each month. Through interactions with peers, children can naturally develop relationship-building skills and build social confidence by practicing how to express their thoughts and emotions.

A key feature of the program is its use of themed worksheets alongside the “Growing Cognition” Social-Emotional Kit. Through hands-on activities involving speaking, creating, and self-expression, children learn to articulate their thoughts and feelings more clearly while developing their ability to understand the emotions and perspectives of others.

Monthly themes include self-understanding, optimism, and goal setting. The program incorporates activities relevant to real-life peer interactions and everyday situations, helping children strengthen self-regulation, execution skills, and their ability to set and achieve goals.

After each class, parents and caregivers receive feedback on their child’s participation and progress, along with practical communication strategies and exercises they can use at home. This approach is designed to help children translate what they learn during sessions into positive behavioral changes in their daily lives.

A Daekyo Educamp representative said, “The newly launched My Pace Social Skills Class was designed to help children learn social skills naturally by practicing them repeatedly at their own pace. Rather than simply teaching the knowledge and concepts needed for social interactions, we aim to give children opportunities to learn through shared experiences with their peers and foster positive changes in their everyday relationships.”
