On March 10th, the BWF Executive Board convened in Birmingham, England for a lengthy nine hour meeting. Nobody was short on energy as they discussed a wide range of issues, all ensuring that badminton was still on the road to becoming the #1 racket sport in the world.

From England, President Kang traveled to Lausanne where he met with IOC President, Jacque Rogge. Among the things they discussed was badminton participating in the Youth Olympic Games which President Rogge hopes to launch in 2010.
