Celebrating the 33rd Anniversary of the Founding of Daekyo

- Towards Another Leap Forward for Noonnoppi

A celebration of the 33rd anniversary of the founding of Daekyo took place on July 9th, 2009 in El Tower, Yangje-dong, Seoul. Chairman Kang, Young-joong of the corporate, executives of its affiliates and its education sector managers from across the country have gathered at the venue and took the opportunity to renew their commitment to taking another step forward and management innovation for the company.

The event began with an opening speech of the head of the Management Support Division, followed by a special lecture “Emotional Leadership for Challenge and Passion” delivered by Jeong, Jin-hong, editorial writer for JoongAng Daily. The lecture, with the theme of “Breaking Conventional Wisdom & Taking on Endless Challenges”, continued for over two hours and drew loud applause from the audience.

Asking all the executives for a change in their mindset, Chairman Kang said, “With changes of needs of the times and customers, it is only natural that we change ourselves. In addition, we need to be able to have a good grasp of changes in advance.”

More than 600 executives and staff members of Daekyo, remembering the remarkable success of Noonnoppi in the past, committed themselves to building a second renaissance for the company by presenting each division’s business objectives and plans.

After the ceremony, Chairman Kang and executives shook hands with some 600 staff members and asked them all to keep up their spirit of challenge, passion and unity.
