The ceremony for the 11th Sculpture Exhibition for College Students in Korea took place on September 10, 2010 in New Millenium Hall at Konkuk University. The Exhibition was established by Daekyo Culture Foundation, led by Chairman Kang, Young-joong as a way to find and support new sculptors who can lead the future of the art of sculpture in Korea.

The Exhibition, which was founded back in 2000, focuses more on how creative and distinguishing each sculpture is rather than how sophisticated or refined they are.

In University Student Category “Concentration” by Park, Chan-gil of University of Seoul won the first prize, and in Graduate Student Category “Artist” by Lee, Young-tae of Sungshin Women’s University got the first prize. “Concentration” features the importance and beauty of human relationships by using human body, and “Artist” shows sign language. Daekyo Culture Foundation will display all exhibits and invited artists’ sculptures at Green Plaza, Konkuk University until September 16, 2010.

During the ceremony, Chairman Kang said, “We are planning to continue our support in order to produce more world-class, distinguished Korean artists.”
