Daekyo Launches ‘Learning for Tomorrow by Daekyo’: An Integrated Learning Program for ‘Young Seniors’
On the 20th, Daekyo announced the launch of “Learning for Tomorrow by Daekyo,” an integrated learning program specially designed for ‘young seniors’?active seniors with diverse learning needs in the areas of literacy, critical thinking, expression, and practicality?amid the rise of a super-aged society.
This new program aims to enhance cognitive and expressive abilities in real-life contexts. Alongside its premium brain training solution “Daekyo Brain Training,” Daekyo now offers a comprehensive education service for seniors that supports literacy improvement and cognitive function management.
“Learning for Tomorrow by Daekyo” includes four core subjects?mathematics, literature, English, and Chinese characters (Hanja)?designed to fulfill the cognitive and emotional needs of young seniors. The program is structured to stimulate and maintain cognitive functions, improve concentration and problem-solving skills, restore self-esteem, and enhance overall quality of life.
The mathematics curriculum includes mental arithmetic, Sudoku, logic problems, and shape puzzles to stimulate various areas of the brain and encourage consistent mental activity in daily life. The literature curriculum aims to build literacy and self-esteem through activities like interpreting illustrations, reading literary works, and studying spelling to strengthen language comprehension.
The English program is a practical, real-life course structured in three levels?vocabulary, sentence-building, and conversation?tailored for adult learners who may be unfamiliar with the language. Topics include reading signs and travel-related phrases to increase learning motivation. The Chinese character course focuses on everyday usage, helping learners build vocabulary and improve memory and thinking skills through idioms and practical Hanja words.
The program is available in two formats?in-person and remote?to suit learner preferences. In-person services include weekly home visits from Daekyo's trained instructors for personalized one-on-one learning management. Remote services provide monthly delivery of course materials along with learning support via phone and mobile messaging.
To commemorate the program’s launch, the first 2,000 new registrants by Saturday, May 31 will receive a special “Tomorrow Starter Kit,” which includes a calligraphy book, coloring pens, and vocabulary cards designed to enhance expressive and language skills.
A Daekyo representative stated, “This program redefines the previously vague concept of the ‘senior market’ by clearly identifying ‘young seniors’ as a distinct group and offering them a dedicated learning solution for the first time. We hope this program becomes a meaningful starting point for young seniors planning their second act in life, allowing them to enrich their lives through the joy of learning.”
