Daekyo announced the launch of “Noonoppi ListeningFit,” a new digital listening comprehension program designed to systematically strengthen the foundational listening skills of elementary school students learning English.

“Noonoppi ListeningFit” was developed to address one of the biggest challenges in English listening?the disconnect between sound and meaning. The program is structured to build essential elementary-level skills in a balanced way, including direct listening and comprehension, understanding phonological features, acquiring sentence and dialogue patterns, and responding to common assessment question types.

The program applies an expanded script structure consisting of a core dialogue and four modified versions, allowing learners to repeatedly study a single topic across varied contexts. This design promotes a spiral learning effect, helping students naturally acquire vocabulary, expressions, and sentence patterns through context rather than rote memorization. In addition, step-by-step segmented listening training?progressing from words to chunks, sentences, and full dialogues?enhances real-time comprehension skills.

“Noonoppi ListeningFit” also considers continuity with middle and high school listening curricula. Key question types from nationwide English listening assessments and the CSAT listening section have been adapted to the elementary level for problem-solving practice. Interactive activities such as shadowing are incorporated to boost learner engagement, pronunciation accuracy, and integrated listening-speaking skills.

The program targets elementary students in grades 2 through 6 and is delivered as a 50-minute class once a week at Daekyo’s offline learning facilities, including Noonoppi Learning Centers and Daekyo Hi-Class locations.

To celebrate the program’s launch, Daekyo is offering mobile gift vouchers to members who enroll by the 31st of this month and complete their lessons by the first week of January. In addition, new members who sign up by January 30 will receive a pocket English vocabulary book featuring carefully selected essential words.

A Daekyo representative stated, “Noonoppi ListeningFit is designed to help elementary learners enjoy English listening in an easy and engaging way. By naturally understanding the sound characteristics of real speech and following the flow of conversations, students can build listening skills that smoothly connect to middle and high school English learning.”
